Dreddnaught is a combination of:

  Dreadnaught, n. A fearless person.

  Judge Joseph Dredd, from the commic strip 2000 AD, 
  is the most famous of the elite corps of Judges with the
  power not only to enforce the law, but also to instantly
  pass judgements on criminals and (if necessary) execute
  them.  

  Some see Dredd as a personification of the idea of Law.

Dreddnaught is also a pun based on the contraction of the phrase dread not. Users who use this project should dread not the actions of malicious users because they will have a good base toolset to combat them.
